The parent program, RosBREED, focuses on DNA marking to isolate desirable qualities within the fruits to produce a better crop yield.
In September 2009 the Michigan State University Veterinary Medical College received the first MRI machine for large animals at a university in the country. This project took eight months to complete and cost about $2 million.

Jessica Dupnack has been a member of Focal Point since last year where she worked on various jobs with the crew. She also hosted an entertainment show called The Spartan View for last semester’s Friday Web casts. Currently, she is a senior at Michigan State University; completing her Journalism degree in three years time.
This summer she interned at WDIV-TV in Detroit where she worked with the investigative unit. Their team uncovered stories that focused on crime, scams and political scandals. The experience she gained from this internship influenced her to focus on investigative journalism as a career path. She hopes to one day work for a network news station in the U.S. focusing on political investigations.
In her free time Jessica enjoys spending time with her three dogs and being with her family. The best advice that anyone ever gave her was, “don’t meet expectations, exceed them.”
